Caisson Cistern

Caisson Cisterns are vertical shafts excavated using the Caisson Sinking Technology, lined with a flexible PVC liner.  This is a shored excavation technique used where the ground formation is not self-standing or where removal of lateral support from adjacent structures and property by the excavation is not acceptable. The excavation starts with the first caisson being placed over the ground surface and the soil inside mechanically excavated causing it to sink.

This is followed by placing the second caisson over the first and continuing the excavation.  The process is repeated untill all caissons are sunk in. The WaterSilo cistern is then realized by lining the vertical shaft with a flexible PVC liner.  Caisson cistern capacities typically range from 2,500 to 30,000 gallons, but can have larger capacities where required.
